Search continues for missing person

A huge operation involving the Police, Port Authorities, Fire Department and also a special disaster response unit, who has also arrived on our Island, to try and help locate a 73 year old British National.

The search started yesterday morning after his wife reported him missing to the police when he did not return from a supposed hike up to Mt. Skopos. He left Argasi wearing a khaki coloured hat, a light blue sports type T-shirt and beige coloured knee length shorts with side pockets.

Unfortunately, since yesterday there has been no sign as to his whereabouts and according to sources the man had not taken his mobile phone with him.  The area of Mt. Skopo is known for its thick vegetation and the authorities are doing their best to cover as much ground as possible, the use of a special drone to help with the search sources say will also help to overcome some of the difficulties.
