What was it that forced the Civil Protection Operations Center to include Zakynthos in Level B – Increased Risk of the Health and Safety Charter?
The journalistic team of imerazante.gr did research and presents it to you:
In the first month of 2021, at the General Hospital of Zakynthos, 31 positive cases were recorded, while EODY in its daily update, for the same period, announced 36 cases.
Why is there this small difference?
This difference of the 5 cases exists because these cases were diagnosed either in private clinics of the island, or the samples were taken from Zakynthians were tested outside the island.
In these two cases, the patient’s AMKA is calculated on the EODY platform.
What… “scared” the Civil Protection?
The last 10 days (22-31 / 01) was the thing that played an important role in today’s decision… for “reddening” of the island. Specifically, out of the total of 36 positive cases, 28 have occurred in the last 10 days of January. In fact, the worst days were on 27/01 with 7 cases and on 22/01 with 6 cases!
On the contrary, in the first 21 days there were only 8 cases, while from 9 to 21 January we had only 2!
Finally, until the evening of Sunday 31/01 there were 28 positive cases and 54 contacts, ie 82 people who are in quarantine !!!
