Yes it’s a fact.
The women of Doksa Pigadakia had one of their best games at the municipal stadium, Saturday 23/03, in the presence of over 200 soccer fans. The team of Yiannis Vertzagia with a score of 3-0 against Niki Traganou, made a decisive step for promotion to the 2nd category of the EPS of Zakynthos.
The home team managed to score 2-0 and go with this score go to the locker room for the half time. Anastasia Antiochus opened the score for the islanders with Pigi Lombotesi succeeding in scoring the second goal and locking this enormous victory.
In the second half, the girls left no room for the opponent to threaten. The Zakynthian team was once again dominant in the game and managed to achieve a third goal, with Angelina Voutsina, which gave triumphant dimensions to the game.
At the end of the game all of them became tangled celebrating this great victory, that gives the team of Doksa the possibility to make their dream of promotion a reality. After this victory Doksa Pigadakia has reached 22 points, while Niki Traganou remains at 16. It is worth mentioning that from this group – the 4th – the first two teams get promoted. Ikaros Petroto is in first place and Doksa Pigadakia is in 2nd place. To finish the championship 3 games remain and Dplsa wants yet another win to seal their promotion ticket.
