This morning the British Honorary Vice Consul, Mr Matthew Delapp talked with local radio announcer, Bobby Gee in regards to World Mental Health Day.
The discussion on Bobby Gee’s breakfast show 88.6 Island Fm Zakynthos, was about how to make people aware of the day and try to promote activities.
Mr Delapp talked about ways on how to raise awareness from an early age to stop discrimination and increase understanding. The team in Zakynthos are planning their annual walk whilst due to covid restrictions have also organised a drawing competition.
Zakynthos Informer along with a local private English school have joined forces with our local consul to raise awareness among children. Teachers have held class discussions where children talk about their own experiences. They have also entered the drawing competition organised by the British Consulate in Zakynthos.
