Zakynthos:- Alykana, British man charged with abandoning a woman and her daughter after accident.

An incredible incident occurred on Monday night (26/9) in the area of Alykanas, when a driver of a car, dragged and injured two women, a mother and daughter and then abandoning them!

The mother, aged 50, suffered head injuries, while the daughter, aged 19, suffered only minor injuries. Both were rushed to Zakynthos General Hospital by EKAV ambulance.

The daughter has already been discharged.

 

Immediately there was a mobilization by the local Hellenic Police department (ELAS), which managed to locate the driver and arrest him within a few hours of the incident.

After searching and coordinated efforts by police officers, a 58-year-old citizen of Great Britain was arrested in Alykes.

In fact, the involved vehicle was also found outside his home, which had obvious damage on its right side.

The 58-year-old will be referred to the Prosecutor.
