A “Guardian Angel” had two Austrian tourists who were riding a quad in the area of Keri. For unknown reasons the driver lost control of the vehicle and fell into a ravine near a forest road. Immediately, two vehicles of the Fire Brigade with 4 men and the Governor of the Prefecture, Mr. Christos Dougeris, rushed to the spot in order to assist. Fortunately, both the woman and the man did not have serious injuries. Only the woman was taken to the General Hospital of Zakynthos for examinations as a precaution because she had chest pains. Let’s say they walked away from the quad accident on their own and firemen did not have to free them.
Once again Zakynthos Informer is glad that our tourist friends escaped without serious injuries, but at the same time, we would like to remind our visitors to be extra careful whilst driving on our roads. Safety always comes first.
