Zakynthos for the first time says “EVGE” (well done) to Zakynthians who deserve it!

With the motto “EVGE” and with a great initiative, IMERA, the oldest daily Zakynthian newspaper with the support of IONIAN TV, are building a valuable new Zakynthian institution.
The “Evge” Institution
The newspaper IMERA, with a history of 27 years, is seeking to honour those who in 2020 achieved decisively personal and common values, establishing a Zakynthian Institute and for the first time, the “EVGE” awards.
The goal is to highlight individuals and groups, to be an important annual institution of the Zakynthian society, through which we will honour all those who showed with determination, remarkable action in the past year.
The institution includes a 17-member jury, in which important – ubiquitous – Zakynthian personalities participate.
The Jury will have a dual role:
- Adherence to the procedure
- Evaluating proposals, wherever they come from
We can all suggest someone who deserves recognition.
Any citizen of Zakynthos, will have the right to propose, through the specially designed platform, completing with very simple moves, their own proposal, today:

The nomination process will consist of two stages:
- Nominations with explanation (in 200 – 400 words)
- Voting for nominations for the best
The candidacies in the first phase and the finalists in the second, will be proposed by the citizens themselves through a special platform on the page eyge.gr and the 17-member EVGE committee, which consists of reputable active citizens (will be announced publicly soon).
Deadline for submitting applications is Sunday, December 20, 2020
Every citizen can send his / her candidate proposal, which may concern himself / herself or his fellow citizens ( Zakynthians wherever they may be) or action of his fellow citizens, by filling in the form on the page:
The digital voting will then start, from December 24, 2020 until January 8, 2021.
The award ceremony will take place on Sunday, January 17th, 2021 at 21.00 pm in a special ceremony, which will be broadcast live on IONIAN TV and online on social media.

How to make your nomination.
If you would like to send your nomination, the platform is quite easy just scroll down to where it says:-
“Υποβάλετε τις προτάσεις σας”
Fill in your name and surname in the first box and then your e-mail address in the second box.
Next, choose the category your nomination belongs to, either Social (Κοινωνία), Business (Επιχειρείν), Athletics (Αθλητισμός) or Arts-culture (Τέχνες – Πολιτισμός)
Examples:-
- a) Individuals or groups who are an example to be imitated for their work, achievements and efforts in Society
- b) Individuals or groups that have taken separate initiatives and distinguished themselves in the field of Business
- c) Individuals or teams that fought hard and distinguished themselves in Sports
- d) Individuals or groups whose love for the Arts illuminates our path to a better future
In the box that says :-
Το ονοματεπώνυμο του ατόμου ή το όνομα της ομάδας που προτείνετε στην κατηγορία
you need to write the name or name of group under the category you have chosen.
You will have to describe in words what your nomination does or why they deserve recognition in the box that says:-
Παρακαλούμε αιτιολογήστε την πρότασή σας
You can write between 200 and up to 400 words. Once you are satisfied with you suggestion you can send your suggestion by clicking on the word ΥΠΟΒΟΛΗ
