A large fire broke out on Wednesday morning in a forest area in Askos Zakynthos.
Strong forces with 24 firefighters, 10 vehicles, five aircraft and a helicopter have been mobilized to extinguish it.

According to information from the Fire Department, the fire is burning pine trees south of the settlement of Askos.
There is no danger to the residential area, as the area has light winds of 1-3 Beaufort from the north/northwest direction that are pushing the flames away from the settlement.
