The interview is interpreted below:-

Today I’m afraid that we are faced with a double danger. Whilst tourism is on a path with difficulties, the possibility of covid-19 flaring up is the first pillar. Over the last period the Government apart from not having a plan and apart from the amateurish way of handling things, they allowed contradictory messages with their actions and their decisions.  First and foremost they didn’t apply a unified epidemiological protocol at all our ports of entry. Of course there is no difference between people that arrive from the border of Promachona to those who arrive at our airports and sea ports. Applying a unified protocol at seaports, airports and land entry gates was something that naturally should happen and should have been foreseen. To have the possibility to have a test for coronavirus for every visitor who arrives by aeroplane internationally across all our airports in our country. At the same time contradictory messages are given to citizens. Should we wear a mask? Or should we not? A week before they decided to not to make it compulsory to wear a mask in shopping malls. Yesterday, they told us that the strict law should be applied where masks must be worn in closed public places. These types of contradictions were continual. They made the decision to allow Greek traditional celebrations (Panagiri) all across our nation. Outside of every type of logic! And just a few days ago they were forced to take back their decision. However, I am afraid that our Government is a laughing stock, them and their decisions. Yesterday, our prime minister called his ministry committee to discuss how they are going to combat the spike we have seen right in the middle of the tourist season and from the meeting the Minister of Tourism and the Minister of Health didn’t attend, and of course representatives from the epidemiological team. But the most important of all was that two important ministers were not at the meeting. I don’t know whether he’s fired them already. He said he was going to make a reshuffle about a month ago and nothing has gone forward. Maybe someone is blackmailing him. The significance is, he can’t at this critical moment, not have leadership at the ministry of tourism and the ministry of health. The two most significant ministries! In every case as public health and for tourism there can’t be a field of amateurs and rough drafts. Finally, the Government with Kyriakos Mitsotakis must take up his responsibilities and not blame continually citizens for responsibilities. Citizens have stood extremely responsible in this pandemic. Now it is time for the Government to show their responsibility.
