Early this morning a citizen who, according to first information, had gone to bathe in the sea in Kalamaki was recovered dead. Bathers who were at the scene pulled him out, while EKAV, (emergency services) and the Port Authority were called, where he was pronounced dead.
The Port Authority of Zakynthos is conducting a preliminary investigation into the cause.
