With this post I would like to inform the people of Zákynthos that after a proposal by the mayors endless hours of discussion, it was decided that I take over the duties of Deputy Mayor of Tourism.
I would like to inform you that the position from which I will work every day , non stop and uninterrupted in order to help my island without wanting any personal let alone financial benefit.
I would like to express my warm thanks to mayor Mr Nikitas Aretakis but also to the people of Zakynthos for their continuous and long term support. I consider myself to be responsible for this position since I have been involved in the tourism sector for more than 30 years.
Using my experience I will contribute exemplary and I will stand up to the difficult circumstances and the challenges that have arisen regarding the Covid 19 pandemic. There is no time and we are already counting down the days to the next tourist season in which we all hope to be much better than this years. I can assure you I will work intently methodically and with dedication and conscience always in collaboration with the Mayor. It is well known that more than 70% of the income of our island comes from tourism, from now on I will stand with all the hoteliers of Zakynthos and I will be at their disposal at any time, because we owe it to them .
Zakynthos is the destination of thousands of tourists every summer. In closing I would like to say that in cooperation with the Mayor the mistakes of the past will not be repeated and I will join all forces for the best for the island .
