In a statement by our Member of Parliament, Mr Dionysios Aktypis a new state of the art equipment will be installed within the Artificial Kidney Unit.
The MP’s statement reads as follows:-
Another key pre-election commitment of mine is realized with the completion of the tender and the signing of the relevant contract for the replacement of the obsolete material and technical equipment of the ARTIFICIAL KIDNEY UNIT of the General Hospital of Zakynthos with new state-of-the-art equipment.
. More specifically, based on the contract signed, the General Hospital of Zakynthos will receive 14 new state-of-the-art equipment, which will significantly upgrade the quality of services provided to patients undergoing dialysis. It is noted that three of these machines operate with new modern methods, while eleven of them use classic dialysis methods.
. We will not take a single step backwards with everything we promised to the Zakynthian society. With the decisive contribution of both the political leadership of the Ministry of Health and the 6th Health District and of course with the valuable support of the Hospital Management we continue to implement our commitments.
. Our main concern was and remains to ensure that all citizens of Zakynthos will have access to substantially upgraded and high quality health services.
