Vaccination of health workers started at the General Hospital of Zakynthos.
Vaccination of the health workers at the General Hospital of Zakynthos and at the Vaccination Centre which has been set up near the emergency service unit, started from today at 08.00 this morning.
A total of 142 doses have arrived since last night, which is the first batch for our island and for the health workers, while another batch will arrive in order for other health workers to be vaccinated.
The president of the Employees of the Hospital, Petros Giakoumelos, in a post referred to the beginning of the vaccinations in the hospital: I, too, as president of the workers, was vaccinated and I recommend all to proceed with their vaccination so that we can start building a wall against the pandemic. We must not forget however, that we must apply the personal protection measures even though we have been vaccinated”.
The first doses of coronavirus vaccine arrived on our island. Specifically with a Sky Express flight that left at 18.40 and arrived at our Airport shortly after 19.20. Vehicles of the Coast Guard were there to receive the 142 doses that arrived, thus making it the first batch.
