As most of us know recycling in Zakynthos has been a major issue.
With the slogan “We make recycling clothes a habit!” our Municipality has signed a contract with a company in regards to recycling clothing.
As stated by Roula Ntasio, ” we treat recycling issues with deep awareness and seriousness. The Municipality of Zakynthos has already made an agreement and signed a contract with the company ‘Recycom’ in order to realize the goal, which is the recycling of textiles and other objects. The first bins have been received and their placement will be done soon and before the change of the season. This way we will catch up with the first “clearing out of wardrobes” with the change of the season. Our interest has turned to environmental protection and sustainability.”
So, hopefully soon we will see the purple coloured bins in our areas soon.
