A traffic accident occurred today, Sunday, July 31, 2022, around 16:15 just outside Kastari and near a quarry. Italian tourists who had rented a mini bus, for an as yet unknown reason the driver lost control of the car and veered off course resulting in the vehicle, fortunately for them, stopping on the trunk of a cypress tree. Information speaks of 3 to 4 injured people who were taken to the Zakynthos General Hospital. A preliminary investigation into the exact causes of the accident is being carried out by the Zakynthos Traffic Department.
