The Volunteer Group of Zakynthos asks businesses and social clubs to join in their efforts and decorate their neighborhoods, thus spreading Christmas cheer!
In order to bring a festive image to the city and to our island in general, the Volunteer Group of Zakynthos made a video message on their social media page, calling to Zakynthians to make a special Christmas this year by decoration neighborhoods. Having the experience from previous years, the Volunteer Group prepares several actions and asked for the practical support of our fellow citizens, businessmen and organizations to change the image of the city and create a festive atmosphere.
Everyone should join in the effort!
“We have decorations from the previous years where we did similar actions, so we decided this year it would be great to decorate neighborhoods. Kalvou square and Mantzarou street. People have given us an idea and if we get permission, we will decorate the Bridge on the river “, said Dionysis Nikolopoulos, a member of the Group and added that the cultural associations could also help in this effort. “There is also a thought to decorate the square on Chioti Street and the beautiful stairs located in the area. We are trying to get in touch with residents of these areas and decorate our island as it has never been decorated. In this effort we would like the cultural associations of our island also to participate. We will also start an update to decorate the trees throughout Alexandrou Roma and Tavoulari. We encourage entrepreneurs to decorate their trees outside their shops. It is easy for someone who has a shop to go out and put lights on it. Let’s make this year a special year as far as making our Island festive during difficult times.
