Zakynthos……. wishes from two talented artists

Poetry and Music, what better way to wish Zakynthians world wide a happy New Year. Zakynthos Informer heard the song and watched the video and wanted to pass on the wishes to all worldwide! We got in touch with the artist John Pantakis and asked him about the song. Although, he wasn’t born in Zakynthos, like most of us once he visited her he fell in love. Most of us know that story. Since then he has dedicated many songs to Zakynthos. He has worked along with well known Zakynthian artists, as he has done with this music video.

Dedicated to Zakynthos and the Our Lady of Strani, the song talks about a church which was dedicated to Our Virgin Mary, which now lays in ruins. Although, within the ruins there is hope of life, a prayer is made that no devestation come to our Island and that the ruins never leave their Holy place.

John Pantakis’ wishes has been sent in his own special way, on his Social Media page he writes :-

Along with my wishes for a good year, with health, happiness and love, I want to share together a very special and favorite song of mine – ” a prayer”, so to speak, titled “Our Lady of Strani”, from my recent music album “Unheard chants” »  poetry by Lenetas Strani.
With images from the “demolished church” in the area of Gerakario in Zakynthos, but also the surrounding areas, I hope you enjoy listening.
