After a recent report on social media in regards to allegations that coronvirus tests were not being made the local Hospital has made a press release.
PRESS RELEASE
The Administration of the G.H. Zakynthos, on the occasion of unfounded allegations about the alleged lack of reagents, states categorically that there is a full sufficiency of COVID-19 molecular analysis reagents.
The doctors of the Hospital who are in charge of the sorting and examination of the suspected and confirmed cases of COVID-19 are the ones responsible for deciding to carry out a molecular test according to the current guidelines of EODY.
To them as well as to the Hospital staff, nurses, paramedics, administrators, and technicians, we all deserve the utmost respect for their tremendous and heroic contribution in tackling the COVID-19 pandemic.
Everything else that is heard or written hides expediencies.
The Administration of the G.H. Zakynthos fully respects the health and anxiety of the citizens who have suffered so much from the COVID-19 pandemic.
