Italian tourists who had been infected with coronavirus “broke” quarantine to go to the airport in order to leave for Italy.
The four Italian tourists were staying in one of the two “covid” hotels in Zakynthos, where cases found on the island stay.
The young Italians, aged 21 to 23, left the quarantine hotel at noon on Thursday, according to ertnews.gr. They then made their way to Zakynthos airport with a “plan” to take the plane to Italy.
However, the hotel staff had found that they had left and had already informed the authorities who finally arrested them at the airport, imposing a fine of 5,000 euros on each.
