1st Europeans Rangers fans convention

Taking place from Thursday, 16th May to Monday, 20th May. At the venue Majestic 4* Hotel & Spa Laganas, at the Sirius conference centre.

As Mr Giorgos Katsiaris, president of Hellenic Rangers Supporters Club, based in Athens – Greece, noted ” We are more than 100 people strong nowadays, throughout Greece. The convention is something that has never happened in Greece, not to mention in Zante, before and we are surely looking on building on this and make it an annual event for the years to come. I firmly believe it will be something that will help both our Rangers Supporters Club as well as Zakynthos Island and will also unite Gers fans gathering here. Imagine the convention is running just for a few days but there are already people coming over from all over the globe – Europe, Northern America, Oceania.

“Cruises, a city tour, a charity football match and a Greek night are scheduled… besides the convention works. Something that our members will welcome for sure. With such actions we do not only tend to fill their daily schedule and entertain them, but we’re looking on building future customers / visitors as well. It is a great opportunity for sure.

“We would also like to let you know of the charity football game we shall
organise on Saturday evening, 18/05. It will take place in the national stadium of Zakynthos between a Rangers select team and the football team of I.P.A. (International Police Association) Zakynthos branch. Players such as ex Gers Marco Negri, Dorin Goian (who played for Asteras Tripolis), Nacho Novo and current Rangers player Greg Docherty will be part of the Rangers select team. Entrance will be free for everyone, but there will be a locked box in the venues’ entrance for everyone to be able to donate any money they believe  is suitable for the occasion. Money will be going to a foundation, to yet to be decided by the organizers”.

The charity match, 18/05, is programmed for 18.30 to 21.00.
