A small child was rescued from a ferry boat off the beach of Antirrio.
The 3-year-old girl was on an inflatable toy when the currents swept her away. Once again in a matter of a few days the contribution of a ferry boat (Salaminomachos) was used for the rescue.
According to witnesses someone tried to swim and catch the child but unfortunately wasn’t fast enough. The winds carried the child out of reach and that’s when the alarm for help was signaled.
How the incident happened will be investigated by authorities but the most import is that the child is safe.
