The spread of the coronavirus epidemic in Greece continues at a steady pace as on Wednesday afternoon (2/9) the National Organization of Public Health (EODY) announced 233 new cases of the new virus in the country, of which 20 were detected after checking at the gates of the country.
Of the 207 domestic cases, 18 are related to a recent trip within the country, 15 are related to known outbreaks, while 4 report contact with a confirmed case.

The total number of cases is 10757, of which 55.6% are men. 2141 (19.9%) are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 4779 (44.4%) are related to an already known case.
To our 38 fellow citizens who are treated by intubation. Their median age is 68 years. 10 (26.3%) are women and the rest are men. 94.7% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years of age or older.
Also 154 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
