The alarm bell for the spread of the coronavirus in the unvaccinated citizens was sounded by the president of the Panhellenic Medical Association, Athanasios Exadaktylos, speaking on the show “Hour of Greece”, on OPEN television. Against the background of the black record of cases recorded on Tuesday, Mr. Exadaktylos called on the people to be vaccinated en masse.
“If everyone was vaccinated, in the intensive care unit we would only have 10 to 20 people”
“The reality is very clear we have two adult populations in our country, vaccinated and unvaccinated, if they were all vaccinated, in the intensive care we would have only 10 to 20 people. So, it would not be a topical issue. The numbers are slowly but steadily increasing “, said Mr. Exadaktylos characteristically and continued:
“There is a debate in the world community about the effectiveness of the vaccine and the need for a third dose … it is a pity that people are lost, 32 died yesterday (Tuesday, August 24), they were not vaccinated, we have a part of the population that stubbornly says that want to listen only to beliefs and not to scientists. “If a large part of the world’s population is not vaccinated, we will have new mutations all the time.”
“For the wall of immunity, unfortunately, every time the virus sets our bar higher. An 80-85% vaccination rate is now required. “In one week we lost six people aged 18 to 39”, he said and noted that a 12-year-old child is in the intensive care unit due to coronavirus. He assured that none of the vaccines used are in the experimental stage.
