A little bit of Greece comes to England (video)

Sitting in the comfort of his home Reuben ‘s wife asks him to stop playing the video he was playing. Reluctantly, he does what she has asked.

Little did he know what was waiting for him in their back garden.

Rebecca had planned an extra special birthday surprise. Every year they go to Greece celebrating Reuben‘s birthday. However, this year due to Covid-19 restrictions they were unable to get to Greece for their annual holiday.

That didn’t stop Rebecca. Not wanting to disappoint her husband this year she planned every single detail to bring Greece to their backyard.

As you will see in the video she slowly leads him out to the garden blindfolded.

Once in the tent she gives him directions. “come on lift your leg up and step inside, what do you feel? She asks. “Sand! He exclaims. Still not sure as to where he was and what his wife is planning he became hesitant. Think in the sand there were hidden creatures or something he would not be too happy about. Eventually the blindfold comes off and he can’t believe his eyes. Greece, staring right back at him!

“Oh my god!” was his reaction. Surrounded with typical Greek delights he was in total awe with his birthday surprise.

“Right! Said Rebecca “Get out of your pyjamas and into these” throwing a pair of swimming shorts in his direction. “Get in there” pointing to the spa tub “ you chill out while I go and cook the Greek food”

The expression on Reuben says it all, “Amazing. “What is this like, Rebeccas’ taverna? I’m not sure if this is like google or mental. I think it is a bit of both!” laughing at the idea. “The sand is a bit cold you could have least heated it up, so it felt like Greece!” his only complaint.

As you can see in the video his birthday surprise was a huge success. They may not be lying on the warm sands of Greece, but Greece has certainly warmed their hearts. Like so many, once having visited Greece, will be touched by her love and grace filling their hearts with pleasure. Greece, a love that will be carried within their hearts forever.
