Application form for damage reimbursments caused by fires in 2017 now ready.

Twenty-four-day time span has been affected by the 2017 fires today to submit claims for compensation to ELGA, who has recently made public the announcement and is asking for a number of supporting documents to be filed with the application.

 

The process is much delayed and involves plant and livestock.

 

Specifically, ELGA invites interested parties to submit aid applications from Wednesday, 13 February 2019 until Thursday, 14 March 2019, for all their farms damaged by fires occurring in 2017 and included in the State aid scheme “Measures in favour of producers in the country whose agricultural holdings were damaged by fires in the year 2017 “. A basic condition for payment of the aid is the level of damage, to reach a threshold, which is set at 30% of the like at producer level.

 

The aid granted is divided into:

 

  • Aid for the reconstitution of plant capital as well as additional aid for loss of income due to the reconstitution of herbal capital.

 

  • Aid for loss of plant production.

 

  • Aid to compensate for fixed capital losses (greenhouses, livestock farms, agricultural warehouses, and agricultural sheds).

 

  • Aid to repair equipment damage to greenhouses and livestock farms, irrigation systems and perennial crops.

 

  • Aid for destruction of stored agricultural products and animal feed.

 

Any owner (owner or lessee) who has suffered damage to his holding by a fire listed in the tables shall be submitted by him or by a third party, an application (a file with the required supporting documents which he is required to produce) for all the affected farms in the same municipality, even if it has holdings in more than one Municipal or Local Communities in the particular Municipality. If there are damaged farms, the same producer and another municipality of the country, then he has to submit another (new) application (submitted to the Municipality) without the submission of a complete dossier, provided that the Municipality to which the complete dossier was submitted and that the supporting documents will cover all its holdings in all Municipalities.

 

The application is submitted in electronic form, by the ELGA’s authorized correspondent, via the ELGA web application. The online application becomes valid if the completed printed version is signed by the applicant.

 

The supporting documents

 

The following supporting documents will be attached to the application for aid for natural persons:

 

  1. A photocopy of both sides of a police ID or passport.

 

  1. A photocopy of the first page of the bank account where the applicant’s name, IBAN and account number will be clearly displayed.

 

  1. Photocopy of the Insurance Certificate or Insurance Certificate from the OGA for the year of damage (2017).

 

  1. A photocopy of the income tax return (Form E1) of the tax year 2016 (income earned in 2016), a photocopy of the relevant statement and, if there is a photocopy of the corresponding statement of financial information from a business activity (Form E3).

 

  1. Photocopies of evidence of possession of the holding, eg. Legal property titles, property declaration (E9), private lease agreements, etc.

 

  1. Photocopy of the accession decision for young farmers.

 

  1. A photocopy of the holding registers for breeders.

 

  1. A photocopy of the Vineyard Declaration and, where appropriate, an attestation from the competent Department of Agricultural Economics and Veterinary Affairs that they submit a Harvest Statement (Harvest Year of Injury Statement), production etc.
