At the last meeting of the Economic Committee last Friday, this issue was discussed and it was decided to have one last reminder before the contracts were cancelled and thus causing a problem for those wishing to work during this summer.
According to what has been said, there are 7 contracts for the coastal areas with a three-year concession, for which the instalments have not been paid since 2017. The parties owe different sums of money each, starting from 195 euros up to 2.110 euros. However, regardless of the amount of the debt, payment is a prerequisite to continue to have the position they require on the coast and to work there professionally.
If the debts are not paid, the contracts will be cancelled.
With the notice given, operators have at least one last chance not to lose what they have gained through the auction bids or by direct assignment and may continue their work in the summer of 2019.
