So far, the month of March has shown that it cannot decided whether it’s a month belonging spring or winter. One day bright sunshine, two days rain and cold. Sunshine on Thursday? Rain and storm on Friday…
In this pace and sense, a new barometric low coming from the West will quickly sweep across Greece on Friday and bring rainfalls, storms and snow.
According to the Meteorological Service of the National Observatory of Athens, rainfalls and powerful storms are expected to strike the South, snow will fall in the mountainous regions of the mainland.
Strong North-West winds will be blowing with intensity of up to 8 Beaufort.
The weather phenomena will be locally very strong and thus in Evia in the early morning hours, later Thessaly, Attica, Peloponnese, Cyclades, Dodecanese and Crete.
Snowfall in Panagia, Trikala, Central Greece, on March 14
Temperature is expected at levels between 2 and 15 degrees Celsius.
PS and then it will be spring and winter and spring… until April stands outside our door.
