The young athlete in the finals beat Alevra from Peristeri 2-0 set with a near-perfect game. Children from all over Greece took part in the event, with Anna Manesi showing once again her great talent. Last year winning the position of third place throughout Greece.

Also for ZAOA the successes did not stop there. The rising Panos Mylonas (9 years old) and Lazaros Skarpos (9 years old) won two matches and were eliminated in the ’16 ‘phase out of the 64 athletes participating in the competition.

Marios Korianitis (10 years old) did well after winning a game and completing his effort in the ’32’ phase of the Pan-Hellenic Championship.

Speaking about the children and their significant successes, coach Manos Vazaios said: “I was very pleased with all the kids. Firstly, Anna Manesi who has made a steady run this year. After winning third place in Greece last May, she won the Pan-Hellenic Championship and will play in the 12-year-old category from next year. I was expecting that she could win because I had seen the opponents and I knew she had a lot of potential. “

Referring also to the ZAOA boys, Mr. Vazaios said that they are taking steps forward and will definitely stand out for the club in the future.

“The younger boys did a great job too. They will be the next new athletes to play the lead in the future. Every year we struggle to find new children. We produce and have  athletes ready. “

ZAOA continues its training at Agio Triada grounds with young children learning the secrets of tennis and working daily with experienced coaches.
