EODY announced on Monday, April 12, 1,606 cases of coronavirus, 76 deaths and 781 intubated .
The announcement states in detail the following:
“The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 1,606, of which 9 were identified after checks at the country’s gates.
The total number of cases is 297,086 (daily change + 0.5%), of which 51.4 % men. Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 50 are considered related to travel from abroad and 2,531 are related to an already known case.
The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 76, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 8,961 deaths have been recorded. 95.6% had underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older.
The number of patients treated by intubation is 781 (63.1% men). Their average age is 67 years. 82.7% have underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,870 patients have been discharged from the ICU. The admission of new Covid-19 patients to the hospitals of the territory is 539 (daily change + 17.17%).
The average seven-day admission is 530 patients. The average age of cases is 44 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the average age of death is 79 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
In Attica, most new cases of coronavirus are recorded for another 24 hours. On Monday, April 12, according to the distribution of cases announced by EODY.
Specifically, out of the 1,606 total cases of coronavirus, 716 new cases are recorded in Attica, 218 were detected in Thessaloniki, while another 74 cases were recorded in Achaia.
