Immediate intervention of the Coast Guard was needed on Monday morning when a boat capsized 200 meters from the land in the sea area of ​​Kalamaki. 

In fact, the assistance of the National Marine Park of Zakynthos was needed.

 Coast Guard men had to swim to reach a 72-year-old who was trying to righten the boat. 

An ambulance was called immediately and the elderly man was taken to the hospital as a precaution. Water and land vehicles assisted in the operation
