Zakynthos 30 years without Dimitris Lagios – Small tribute to a great artist (photo & video)
Thirty years ago, on April 11, 1991, at 4:20 pm, Dimitris Lagios passed away, in Evangelismos, at the age of 39.
Thirty years later, just at the time of his death (16:20), his friends and local authorities met at his monument in Lagiou Square and paid a small tribute to a great artist.
This modest event was prepared (and presented) by the President of the Zakynthos Choir “I Faneromeni” and a representative of the Zakynthos Volunteer Group, Dionysis Nikolopoulos in collaboration with the Zakynthos Sub-Region and personally with the Deputy Regional Governor, Giorgos. Stasinopoulos.
The MP of Zakynthos, Dionysis Aktypis, the Deputy Regional Governor George Stasinopoulos, the Deputy Regional Governor of e-Government & European Programs Dr. Konstantinos Kapodistrias, the Municipal Councilor Angelos Sevastiadis (who when he was Deputy Mayor of Culture helped a lot to change the look of the monument), the President of T.S. Polis, Konstantinos Pettas and the President of the Association of Abroad Overseas Zakynthos “Andreas Kalvos”, Stella Kosti and due to covid era we live in, few people To emphasize that there was no representation from the Municipal Authority (Mr. Sevastiadis represented himself, as he told us).
Musicians and singers from various musical groups of the island played and sang the following songs:

–The PHILOPATRIS.
