The announcement of EODY for today, Friday, December 11, reports 1,395 new cases of coronavirus in the country in the last 24 hours, as well as 102 dead. At the same time, 583 of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation.
Analytically:
“Today we announce 1,395 new cases of the new virus in the country, of which 9 were detected following checks at the country’s gateways. The total number of cases is 122,648, of which 52.6% are men.
5,076 (4.1%) are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 34,774 (28.4%) are related to an already known case.
583 of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their median age is 66 years. 169 (29.0%) are women and the rest are men. 76.7% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are aged 70 years and older. 711 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
Finally, we have 102 more recorded deaths and 3,472 deaths in total in the country. 1,392 (40.1%) women and the rest men. The median age of our deceased fellow citizens was 79 years and 96.0% had some underlying disease and / or age 70 years and over “.
The distribution
Today, Friday, December 11, 2020, 1,395 additional cases of coronavirus were reported in Greece. Thessaloniki returned to the unpleasant first place of cases in the country, as 357 were identified, while in Attica 296 were recorded. However, a high epidemiological burden was recorded in Serres with 80 cases and in Magnesia with 75.
