By mistake of his driver, a car fell into the port and specifically at the pier of Agios Nikolaos. Coast Guard men immediately arrived at the scene and found the driver of the car, who told them that there were no other passengers in the sunken vehicle.
Shortly after the car crashed and sank in the port. Divers and a crane arrived at the pier of Agios Nikolaos in order to fish the vehicle out.
The retrieval turned out to be more difficult than expected, as the car had overturned and was resting on the seabed up side down.
