Greece:- Coronaviurs Providing self-test for students from pharmacies and a statement using edupass.gov.gr

Providing self-test for students from pharmacies and a statement at edupass.gov.gr

The availability of self-diagnostic tests (self-tests) for students starts on Monday, November 1st. Specifically, students will be provided with a total of five free self tests, to meet the control needs from 5 to 22 November.

It is reminded that from Monday the way of declaring the self tests for the students changes. The result of the tests, supplied by the parents of the children from the pharmacies, will be declared on the new platform edupass.gov.gr and not on the platform of self-testing.gov.gr, as it was until today.

Specifically, according to an announcement by the ministry, students will be provided from Monday, 1st to Saturday 6th November, a package with five free self tests from pharmacies, in order to meet the control needs of the days from 5 to 22 November and arrive at school according to the instructions of the experts.

It is reminded that:

  • the self-test takes place up to 24 hours before the arrival every Tuesday and Friday at school,
  • Screening for the new coronavirus through self-test is mandatory for students,
  • Students who do not have a vaccination certificate (for students 12 years and older) or a certificate of past illness (last semester) must bring a negative self-test certificate;
  • Vaccinated students are not entitled to a free self-test, as they do not have to take them unless there is a special reason (ie a case to a classmate),

The free self test is available from pharmacies only during working days and hours, so that during the days and nights they can serve emergencies.

From November 1st, the declaration and the result for the public school units will be declared in the new platform edupass.gov.gr, from where the School Card for COVID-19 will be issued.

You must supply:-

  • your personal Taxisnet passwords.
  • your AMKA or your child’s AMKA if you are the parent of a minor student

The platform currently only concerns public schools. Parents of students attending private schools will continue to declare the result of self-tests on the platform self-testing.gov.gr and issue the School Card for COVID-19, following the exact same procedure that they follow until today .
