The announcement of EODY for the cases in Greece during the last 24 hours.
OEODY announced that in the last 24 hours 1,514 new cases of coronavirus were detected in our country, while 41 deaths occurred and 674 patients are intubated in the ICU, a number that unfortunately is another negative record, since the beginning of the pandemic in our country. Note that due to the weekend, fewer tests have been done.
The announcement of EODY in detail: “The new laboratory confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 1,514, of which 9 were identified after checks at the country’s entry gates. The total number of cases is 237,125 (daily change + 0.6%), of which 51.5% are men. Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 68 are considered related to travel from abroad and 2,757 are related to an already known case.
The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 41, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 7,462 deaths have been recorded. 95.9% had underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older.
The number of patients treated by intubation is 674 (65.9% men). Their median age is 68 years. 81.0% have underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older. 1,577 patients have been discharged from the ICU since the beginning of the pandemic. The admission of new Covid-19 patients to the hospitals of the territory is 512 (daily change -0.19%). The average seven-day admission is 481 patients. The median age of the cases is 44 years (range 0.2 to 105 years), while the median age of the dead is 79 years (range 0 to 103 years).

Attica remains under suffocating pressure, in which most new cases of coronavirus are recorded for another day, according to the distribution of cases announced by EODY. Specifically, out of the total 1,514 cases of coronavirus, recorded on Sunday, March 21, 774 new cases are recorded in Attica, 179 were detected in Thessaloniki, while another 36 cases were recorded in Achaia.
