Rain and thunderstorms are expected in the eastern and northern continents on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. The temperature will fluctuate at normal levels for the season with winds up to 6 Beaufort in the seas.
More specifically, according to meteo.gr of the National Observatory of Athens, local clouds are expected in the first hours of the twenty-four hour period in Central Macedonia, Eastern Thessaly and Sterea, while sporadic rains will occur in Eastern Thessaly and Sterea. Gradually from the morning clouds will develop in the rest of Macedonia and Thrace and there will be local rains and possibly thunderstorms. The phenomena in Halkidiki, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace from noon will be strong in places and there is a possibility of hail.
The temperature in Western Macedonia will range from 10 to 28 degrees Celsius, in the rest of Macedonia and Thrace from 17 to 33, in Thessaly from 19 to 33, in Epirus from 12 to 32, in Eastern Sterea from 20 to 34, in Western Sterea from 15 to 33, in the Peloponnese from 14 to 33, in the Ionian islands from 16 to 30, in the islands of the North Aegean from 20 to 30, in the islands of the Eastern Aegean from 20 to 34, in the Cyclades from 22 to 32, in the Dodecanese from 25 to 31 and in Crete from 17 to 33 degrees Celsius.
Winds in the Aegean will blow from northwest directions 3 to 5 beauforts and in the southeast locally up to 6 beauforts. In the Ionian, the winds will blow from northwest directions 3 to 5 beauforts and from noon 4 to 6 beauforts.
In Attica, initially sunshine is expected, but from noon local clouds will develop. The winds will blow from northwest directions up to 3 Beaufort but at noon and in the afternoon they will be temporarily changing of the same intensity. The temperature in the center of Athens will range from 23 to 32 degrees Celsius.
In Thessaloniki, light clouds are expected that from time to time will be denser. Chance of local rains and possibly thunderstorms exists from noon, mainly in the mountains of the prefecture. The winds will blow from north up to 3 beauforts and from noon 2 to 4 beauforts. The temperature in the city center will range from 22 to 33 degrees Celsius.
Zakynthos.
Over the next few days the weather in Zakynthos will be clear. Saturday a few clouds will make their presence but temperatures will remain around a high of 29 to 30 degrees. At night the temperature will drop down to a low of 23 to 25 degrees Celsius. Sunday will also be very similar to Saturday’s weather conditions but Monday rain is expected. Temperatures will also drop to around 27 then down to 24 degrees Celsius and winds will be only very slight, ranging from 2 to 3 Beaufort changing directions throughout the day.
