Nikos Hardalias announced the extension of the mandatory use masks in more enclosed spaces.
They are as follows:-
- retail stores,
- food shops (bakeries, butchers),
- Public Enterprises and Organizations

At the same time the measure of compulsory use of a mask is still valid in:
- Public transport,

It is also noted that the use of a mask is mandatory for employees in restaurants.
According to information, in the morning the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection had a meeting with the Prime Minister. Fear of an outbreak of coronavirus during the summer, leads the government to take new emergency measures.
The imposition of compulsory mask use by the faithful in Churches may provoke reactions, however, the government appears determined.
According to Mr. Papathanasis, “nothing has left the table. Therefore, at any time it can be decided that we will wear a mask in other health stores, ie eg in bakeries, butchers or we can wear a mask indoors. It’s something that is always on the table. ”
Finally, announcements are not ruled out for banning beach parties or sports events where a lot of people go. The Government also is determined to impose fines on those who do not comply with the measures that have been imposed. For example, there is the phenomenon of not using a mask on ships, especially now that thousands go on vacation to the islands every day.
It is no coincidence that Sotiris Tsiodras wears a mask in all public appearances, wanting to send the message that scientists welcome the mandatory use of the mask, where required.
The announcements for the festivals are also awaited with interest, as the ban is until the end of the month. An extension of the measure is not ruled out throughout August, especially on August 15, where dozens of festivals take place throughout Greece.
