Greece was added to the Russian list of “unfriendly” countries
Diplomatic developments in the shadow of the war in Ukraine and the West-Russia conflict with recriminations and sanctions on both sides.
Vladimir Putin signed the relevant decree and our country is officially included among the unfriendly countries, while Denmark, Slovenia, Slovakia and Croatia are added to Moscow’s blacklist.
The Russian government’s updated list includes countries and persons who commit hostile acts against Russian diplomatic and consular missions.
In practice, this means that the Russian government imposes a limit of 34 people on the size of the diplomatic mission that Greece can maintain on Russian soil.
“The list approved by the government is not final and, taking into account the ongoing hostile actions of foreign states directed against Russian missions abroad, it may be expanded, the Kremlin adds.
