Greece:- Molecular tests: Ceiling at 50 euros, no change in rapid tests – Announcements on Tuesday

Ceiling, at 50 euros is expected to be included in the molecular tests (PCR) – No change in the prices of rapid tests.

The announcements for the 50 euro ceiling in the molecular tests are expected tomorrow, while as it is pointed out, there will be no changes regarding the rapid tests.

As stated by the Minister of Investment, Adonis Georgiadis, on Tuesday there will be announcements for the price of PCR tests.

“Tomorrow we will be able to make announcements regarding PCR. There is a ceiling, 40 euros for PCR plus 20 euros for services. For these amounts there will be some kind of intervention tomorrow. “We had a very good discussion with the doctors’ representatives and I thank them very much,” he said.

Chaos with rapid tests in the Ergani System.

There are thousands of workers in the air who have been vaccinated, but still tested positive for coronavirus after a rapid test. According to the latest instructions of EODY, those who are positive should remain in quarantine for five days, while those vaccinated do not require a molecular test so that they can justify their absence from work.

According to the latest instructions, a rapid test that will be positive and posted on the Ergani system by pharmacists or competition centers would be enough to secure the necessary quarantine permit.

The problem, however, is that the ERGANI information system definitely does not recognize the rapid test and only accepts the molecular (pcr), which leaves exposed the employees who are sick and vaccinated. In fact, the above was confirmed in a communication with Newsbomb.gr by the president of GSEVEE, Costas Kavvathas.

“There is a huge problem at the moment in many businesses. Vaccinated workers who are positive also need a molecular test. “The system does not accept rapid tests”, said Mr. Kavvathas.

Unvaccinated workers will have to undergo a molecular test and if it is positive, they will submit it to receive the five days paid leave, something that the vaccinated workers can not do at this stage, according to the information.
