Greece:- New measures – Coronavirus: What will happen to the parties at home

The new measures for the coronavirus will take effect from 6 in the morning on Thursday (30.12.2021) and, among other things, music will be banned in restaurants and entertainment stores, which will be allowed to open until midnight.

An exception is New Year’s Eve, when the shops will be open until 2 in the morning. In addition, events and parties in public or private space are prohibited, inter alia, with the latter being the case with Airbnb house parties.

At this point, the question arose as to what would apply to New Year’s home parties and whether music would be banned, in view of New Year’s Eve. Nikos Evangelatos’ show “Live News” contacted the Ministry of Health, which clarified that music will be allowed in homes normally.

The Minister of Health Thanos Plevris proceeded to the specialization of the measures that will be valid from tomorrow up until January 16.

The exception is New Year’s Eve, when the stores will be open up until 2:00 in the morning, but with all the above prohibitions.

Among the bans, the minister said, is the ban on holding a party in a public or private place (Airbnb homes for example), in order to avoid the transfer of entertainment to other places.

Mandatory use of a high protection mask (FFP2 / KN95), or double in supermarkets, public transportation and where there is overcrowding, as well as restaurant staff.

Teleworking in public and private sector up to 50% and rolling hours, depending on the capabilities of each service.

– In nursing homes and hospitals, visitation only with PCR test 48 hours prior, while in nursing homes it is prohibited medical visitors to enter.

– In the stadiums the fullness of vaccinated spectators will be up to 10% of their capacity, with a spectator ceiling of 1,000 people. If the measures are not observed, the matches will be held behind closed doors.
