So, you thought it was hot in Zakynthos?
As of today a heat wave will hit our part of the country. It seems that the Ionian Islands will be affected more than anywhere else as the slow hot air from Africa reaches our lands.
Although temperatures won’t reach over 35 degrees Celsius, the humidity level is well above the 80% mark during the night and early mornings. On some days actually reaching 100%. Combine this with the wind speeds starting from 2 Beaufort and reaching no more than 4 Beaufort it will seem hotter.
The weekend is going to feel hot! Although temperatures will reach around 34 degrees Celsius. Saturday will feel like 37 due to hardly any wind 4B and high humidity rate at 50% during the day.
Zakynthos Informer would like to give you all a few tips to help stay cool as this heat wave will be hanging around at least till the 15th of August.
