This was followed by the statements of the representative of the ruling party of Turkey (AKP), Omer Çelik, as well as the Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

All this, while Nikos Dendias met with two of his counterparts within a few hours. Initially, with the German Foreign Minister, Analena Berbock, who sent a clear message to Turkey that “the Aegean islands are Greek territory and no one has the right to question this. My own government will not allow there to be any doubt that we stand in solidarity.”
