Last week, the Port Authority, issued a decision on traffic that can use the single lane, temporary assembled, metallic military bridge, type Bailey, that is in use in the area of Agios Haralambos river.
For the period from 01/05 to 30/06, the following vehicles may use the bridge – (a) with a maximum permissible weight of (forty) 40 tonnes, (b) a maximum weight per axle of (eight) 8 tonnes, (c) a permissible distance between trucks of (forty) 40 metres, one-way only, from Varvakis street to K. Lombardou road, while at the same time the other existing bridge is also being used.
Pedestrians are prohibited from using the Bailey bridge.
