Sales Start Soon!!!

PRESS RELEASE

In view of the forthcoming winter discounts, which will begin from Monday 14th of January up and until the end of February 2019, consumers should be aware of the following:

– Properly prioritize their needs before shopping to avoid unreasonable costs. Do market research and check not only the prices but also the quality of the products.

– Be informed about the origin and quality of the products. The seller is required by law to provide the consumer with any product-related information before the latter makes a purchase.

– Avoid purchases by itinerant vendors, both to avoid buying unsafe and non-certified products, and to combat counter-trafficking and reduce unemployment.

– Be informed about the details and terms of their dealings when purchasing products in instalments.

– Before making credit card purchases, always be aware of the terms and conditions of that purchase.

– Be advised by the shops about their policy regarding defective products and returns.

– There should be no confusion between discounts and offers. Discounts refer to products of the season, while offers, where the discount is particularly high, usually involve outdated items. Caution! The consumer should always check whether the product belongs to the current season or to an earlier one, because often been seen within stores where they would put at discounted price stock at the same discount price as the products of the current season.

– In the case of offers, there should be a sign that indicates that offers are being made. Products must bear the original price and special offer price (not the discount rate). Caution! Offers often indicate that no changes are made, so if you regret your purchase, you cannot change.

– Pay special attention to stores that advertise large discount rates on one or a few of their items. This does not mean that the other types of these stores are cheaper than those of other stores.

– Do not fail to ask for proof/guarantee of the products they have purchased. If the product is defective and want to return it or change it, receipt of proof is necessary.

– Be aware of the products of the stores they buy, to indicate the old and the new price as well as the discount rate during the discount period.
