Satelite photo of the aftermath of “Gryonion” in the area of Kinetta.

Kinetta was photographed by the European satellite Sentinel-2, which crossed Greece. Monday’s storm known as “Gryonion” left in its wake destruction. Causing floods in western Attica and eastern Corinth.

The photo reveals the change in color of the sea surface from the torrential downpours in the area, as well as the burnt areas in Kinetta from last July’s big fire.

According to the Athens National Observatory’s meteo meteorological service, “once again after major forest fires we have severe problems of downpours and floods, which shows the great environmental and social impact of the fires.”
