The new Theatre located along Lomvardo Avenue, opened its doors for a surprise sound test.
The mayor of Zakynthos, Mr. Nikitas Aretakis, invited people to the new Municipal Theater to exchange wishes for the festive days ahead.
The invitation was on the spur of the moment. The municipality itself had said, it was not properly prepared for a small celebration at the new theater, but specified the visit was more for the Municipal Authority to gather before handing over the theater on the deadline on December 31st.
Mr. Aretakis said he was very pleased with the acoustics of the theater. After listening to the Municipal Philharmonic playing some pieces and added that the theater is a place worthy of Zakynthian culture.
As for the inauguration, the date has not yet been finalized, but most likely from today it will be in February 2020, provided that no further obstacles arise.
