Harris Theocharis: How Tourism Will open
Tourism will open on Monday, according to EU directives, said Tourism Minister Haris Theocharis.
From 15/6 for Athen airport “Eleftheros Venizelos ” restrictions will be lifted on Spain, Italy and the Netherlands
-Albania and Northern Macedonia, however, not for tourist purposes
– The ban on Britain and Turkey is still maintained.

International ship arrivals are prohibited.
On land arrivals, the borders with Turkey, Albania and Northern Macedonia remain closed, while the borders with Bulgaria open.

“Our plan is complete and we have done operational readiness exercises,” said the Minister of Tourism.
From 1/7 travellers will fill in an electronic form with their contact details in Greece, sample tests will be performed and a 14-day quarantine in case someone is positive will apply, mainly in the capitals of the prefectures, but also on the islands. In a few days, as he said, the list of hotels in which will take part in this role will be announced.
