Sadly, in Argasi, and more specific the area of Saint Spyridon, a lufe was claimed.
According to sources, early hours in the morning a young man in his twenties lost control of his motorbike and plunged into a parked car. The young man had only just started his bike up and set off before he lost complete control.
An ambulance was on the scene immediately, however, unfortunately, the young man succumbed to his injuries and passed away before they could get him to the hospital.
This horrific news has upset the local community and all of Zakynthos, as the young man and his family are well known.
The news of our roads taking another young person’s life caused many to question what our authorities are doing as far as checks, especially in areas where young people gather for entertainment, in tourist areas and where a lot of alcohol is consumed.
