THE FESTIVAL OF THE GLAOUNA
Where – at the old school in Kallithea, headquarters of the Cultural Association of Kallithea “Koukesi”.
When – from 12.00 to 18.00 (originally planned for 24/02, postponed due to bad weather).
For the 5th year the celebration of the traditional Zakynthian pancake – Glaouna.
The festival of the Glaouna is supported by several sponsors, cultural clubs with their dance groups, the club of chefs of Zakynthos and of course music, dance and plenty of Glaounas and a lot of bbq’ing. During the day, very nice and interesting gifts will be drawn.
Glaouas were made by the Zakynthians when they had strangers in their homes as a treat, as a dessert, but it was also very famous when friends gathered to celebrate the finish of olives. This custom is now a celebration not only for our homes but for all the Zakynthians and the foreigners who have visited the island. The “Glaounas” Festival is an opportunity to join us and celebrate all together in the village of Kallithea.

A concert with Yiannis Yeorganos.
Co-organised by – Theatrical Stage of Zakynthos and Union of Parents Association of Zakynthos.

RENAISSANCE GIRL
Where – at the Multipurpose Yefsis Portokali, Argasi.
When – 22.00.
Alexandra Kladi, after releasing her debut album “Shampoo”, is coming to ‘Portokali’ to present a brand new performance, “Renaissance Girl”. Sandwiching her music on her laptop, creating a whole new electronic sound. With her keyboard and loudspeakers, twisted vocals and unexpected harmonies, she creates an original musical performance that reveals her love for experimentation through new ways of expression.

Day of Silence Yoga and Meditation.
A day for you.
The day includes motion with awareness, remaining in selected yoga positiove, breathing and meditation practices …. in silence. An opportunity to connect with our wonderful nature and to experience inner peace.
Those who are interested in participating must register for information and to save a place. Everyone can take part, regardless of experience, as long as you respect the needs of your body and you have the consent of your doctor, if you face particular physical challenges.
