The 49-year-old man accused of femicide from Zakynthos, who murdered his 40-year-old wife and the mother of their three children, in their home, in Tsilivi, was brought to District Attorney to confess his actions a few minutes after 10:30 this morning, Friday, August 5.
Upon entering the courthouse, when asked by a journalist if he had anything to say, he simply asked for a “sorry” from his children.
Let’s remember that he was initially prosecuted for two felonies, that of attempted homicide and intentional homicide.
The brutal murder took place on the evening of Sunday, August 31, shortly after 11:00 p.m. The unfortunate woman, after filing a complaint with the police about domestic violence from the alleged abuser, who had left the house, returned last Sunday night and after an intense argument, beat his 40-year-old wife and stabbed her in the chest and neck resulting in her fatal injury. The couple had three children, one of whom is an adult and lives permanently in Kalamata and the other two are younger.
The police launched a manhunt in order to locate the 49-year-old, who was finally arrested on Monday morning in Keri in the building where he was working, in order to be taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Zakynthos. In fact, the husband killer had previously engaged the authorities again for offences related to domestic violence and in June of this year he was arrested again for other offences and brought to the competent Prosecutor’s Office,
